Removing an exterior door and frame disturbs the drywall returns on the interior side — the wrapped edges of the opening. If the old door had an arch, and the new one is square, that's a more involved job (see our arch-to-square conversion page). For a standard like-for-like replacement, we repair the edges, touch up the surrounding wall, texture match, and prime.
