We use a combination of spray equipment and hand application to replicate the original texture pattern. We always test on a small area before doing the full repair, and we adjust until it matches. Older textures sometimes require custom mixing.
In most cases, no. The repaired area will need to be painted to blend fully, even with perfect texture matching. The new compound has a slightly different sheen than aged paint. We recommend painting at minimum the full wall panel after repairs.
Typically 24 hours for the mud to fully cure before painting. In Arizona's dry climate, it often dries faster — sometimes same-day. We'll let you know the expected drying time before we leave.
